The Lake Windermere Row in aid of St Gemma's started in 1982 and Paul rowed with friends at that very first event. A few years later Vanessa joined Paul, some years later Dominique and Siobhan joined in too. The event has been in the family calendar for many years. Unfortunately this is the last year as the boats are getting more difficult to source for the event. Back in 1982 St Gemma's covered a massive area, thankfully there are now more local hospices. However, the fund raising requirements for this magnificent hospice is as great as ever. On the 26th June, the Leese family will row the 12 miles from Ambleside to Windermere and back, please consider sponsoring them for this event.
