Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Magic Moments Childrens Charity was set up in 1998 by Alick Smith, founder of the UK's largest independent estate agent Spicerhaart and his wife Val.
The charity has raised over £500,000 over the years supporting childrens hospices across the UK and there have been plenty of Magic Moments!

I will be running the London Marathon on Sunday April 22nd 2012 in support of this great cause. It is a huge undertaking to run my first marathon but will
be completely worth it to see the smiles on the children's faces, especially since last year's fundraising event when the money we raised brought happiness to Emily aged 7 and her family along with 15 other families who visited Disneyland Paris and had amazing time.

Emily was born three months premature and suffers from a debilitating mixture of cerebral palsy, curvature of the spine and epilepsy as well as having heart and lung problems. Emily who cannot stand, sit or talk attends Woodfields Special School which has helped boost her communication skills and gives her mum Claire respite time for caring for Emily's brother, Oliver aged 9.

The Magic Moments Charity is dedicated to helping children suffering life limiting illnesses and their families and making youngesters dreams come true.

Thank you once again for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page and for your generous donations.

The Magic Moments Charity Fund is dedicated to helping children suffering life limiting illnesses and their families. We achieve this by organising magic moments, to make youngsters' dreams come true. We also donate money raised to children's hospices across the UK so they can buy essential equipment.
