We stand for everyone affected by dementia to find a cure

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Last year (2022) I took on a new challenge by doing an ultra marathon in the South Downs. This was a 100km run/walk to raise money for Alzheimer's Research UK as they work towards finding a cure for such a dreadful disease. We were directly affected when my father-in-law suffered and ultimately it was dementia that led to his death at a time when he and my mother-in-law might have expected to have had a lot of time together in retirement. This affects so many people and therefore when the opportunity came up to do another challenge to raise money I jumped at the chance.

This time, I'm heading to Morocco to trek 100km across the Sahara with the aim of raising at least £2345 to fund research. This will go towards the constant work by Alzheimer's Research UK to find a cure and hopefully help sufferers and their families.
