I am running this year's Great South Run, Portsmouth (Sunday 16th October 2022) for a local charity: Home-Start, specifically to support a local charity and families. Whilst teaching in Portsmouth schools (since 2003), I've seen how family life has changed and have been affected; and the needs & wellbeing of our children (our future) too ... particularly, during the last few 'Covid' years.

It's the first time Home-Start Portsmouth, have entered a runner into our local 'Great South Run', and I'm very happy and honoured to be able to run for them.

Home-Start Portsmouth is a community network of trained volunteers and expert support. We help families with practical, emotional, and confidential support. Being a parent can be lonely, frustrating, and overwhelming. Home-Start is there for families when they need us the most because childhood can’t wait.

Covering postcodes PO1-PO6, we help make the early years count, giving children the best start in life.
