Paul's Pedalling for Finn

Prudential RideLondon 2017 · 30 July 2017 ·
Hi everyone,
It's been 5 years since my son Finn was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at the age of 3. A lot has changed since then. Finn is now a strapping 8 year old who loves football, cycling and school.
One thing that hasn't changed is the fact that he still has type 1. His insulin pump and the hundreds of finger prick tests he has try to keep him well. Type 1 diabetes never takes a day off (or a night!), that is why we need to help JDRF find a cure. Type 1 diabetes is an autoimmune disease that cannot currently be cured and has no known cause. There is a lack of understanding about type 1 diabetes amongst people in power and the wider public - and that means that people like Finn and others living with the condition don't get a fair deal. I will do all that I can to find a cure for type 1. I will make a difference for Finn.
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
