National Star provides specialist education, training and personal development opportunities for people with complex disabilities and acquired brain injuries. Our programmes and projects enable young people and adults with disabilities to gain independence, confidence and vital life skills.

Story

When I saw this trek to Base Camp advertised I thought what a great challenge for myself and to raise money for an amazing charity. (National Star)

By supporting National Star, you can help more young people with complex disabilities to learn essential life skills, gain the freedom of independence mobility by learning to drive electric wheelchairs, discover how to communicate using state of the art technology, and develop their confidence. Your support can help us to ensure that these young people can make choices, be listened to and be in control of their lives.

Just before my 21st birthday I had an 8 hour surgery to remove a tumour from my lower back. Now I see life too short to say "No I can't do that"  for a massive challenge like this. So here I go! Wish me luck!
