Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my fundraising page.

This year I was going to run my final...and 10th Great North Run but national/global events have taken over and I am now going to run a (not) Great North Run on the 13th SEP near where I live.

It won't be the same - I will miss the motivation of fellow runners and the wonderful, supportive crowds of Tyneside - but I have a feeling that the communities we live and work in won't be the same after COVID-19.

Almost certainly, as we emerge from the pandemic, the services of organisations like MIND will be so important & they will need our support more than ever as they support others to manage and improve their mental health.

The cause that MIND pioneers is very personal and close to me. I lost a very good friend some years ago to this silent illness. Help me to help those amazing people at MIND to help others navigate the immediate challenges that COVID-19 poses for so many peoples mental health.

Thank you so much for your support and encouragement.
