Save the Children - Tour of Kent 

Like all of us, I have been greatly saddened and upset at what we have seen unfolding on our TV screens and Newspapers since the Russian invasion of Ukraine. There are so many innocent people caught up in this tragedy, but above all it’s the children who have had to move at a moment’s notice from their homes, mostly leaving at least one parent behind and often witnessing terrible sights that I feel sorry for and would like to do something to help.

Our challenge is to cycle around the periphery of the county of Kent, we will do this over 4 consecutive days, the overall distance is km 428.4/ 275 miles.  There will also be some hills involved, the total elevation is around 3,600m!  Add in the vagaries of the English weather and it promises to be quite a challenge.
