On 4th October 2019 (day after my 45th birthday, so you should sponsor me just because I will be sober!) I will be boarding a plane with my special Dennis Bearkamp mascot (I never travel without him) and the Dragon and her Felt Pig Alan (If you know, you know!) 

Anyhow, we are basically trekking the Great Wall of China. For those of you who know me well, I don't trek any further than from the Couch to the Kitchen to pour myself a glass of the pink stuff! 

To hear that I need to "train" for this scares the life out of me, I don't know if my old ticker can cope! 

So why I am doing this....

In memory of all those we have lost. In particular my Mummy. We lost her to Cancer in 2014 after a long battle which she bravely fought, but kept a smile on her grumpy old face right till the very end. 

I miss her every day and I want to do something that will help make a difference in funding as the services provided in places such as St Catherine's really help to make end of life care a much better time for patients and family members.
