I started cycling as a hobby in 2018 as I approached retirement and I've made some great friends in my local club, Marlow Riders. Entering Ride London 2023 is a personal goal to complete my first 100 mile ride with friends so I will cover the entry fee and all other expenses.

My wife, Colleen, is a volunteer with Dementia Action Marlow, (DAM), where I lend a hand from time to time. I only wish there was something similar when my father was suffering from dementia 20 years ago as I witness the positive effect the group has for both dementia sufferers and their partners.

Raising money to help DAM continue and expand their range of activities will help spur me on through the hard miles. Please give whatever you can to a wonderful local charity.
