NHS Charities Together and its members across the UK are hugely grateful for the support received from so many since the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Story

Paws up for the NHS is a challenge where dogs can learn tricks inspired by the habits their humans have formed in lockdown.

To take part, they make a small donation and each dog who tries the tricks and shares their videoes in the dedicated Facebook group (or on their social media platform of choice using #pawsupforthenhs) will be given a certificate.

The tricks are:

Wave: Just as we wave to our friends at a distance!
Look behind you: Essential to make sure we’re two metres apart from people outside of our household
Wipe your paws: A doggy version of washing hands
Walk on my feet: A reminder to stay close together so while we’re out, other people can pass by safely
Send to bed: Dogs need sleep and with the whole family home in lockdown, it’s essential they still have their naps
