Wade Financial are appealing to businesses in the North East region, aiming to raise £6,584 as part of Marie Curie's Pay for a Day campaign.
This figure would provide enough funds to run the hospice for a full 24 hours, funding the care of terminally ill patients by the charity's dedicated team or nurses and support workers.
“Almost all of us know somebody who has been touched by cancer or a terminal illness,” says Wade Financial's Ian Little, whose late mother benefited from Marie Curie's care and support.
“If all of the contacts on our mailing lists contributed just £3 each, we would have enough to provide expert care and comforting support to those who need it for one entire day.
"As businesses in the North East, we should all be doing our part to put something back into our local community. By pledging support to Marie Curie's Pay for a Day campaign, companies can do just that."
