Run to the Beat Half Marathon 2010 · 26 September 2010 ·

The National Blind Children's Society recently changed its name to Blind Children UK and is now part of the Guide Dogs family. At Blind Children UK our mission is to enable children and young people, who are blind and partially sighted to achieve their educational and recreational goals.

Story

For some crazy reason I have decided to run a half marathon around London.  I have only managed to run this distance once before, which ended up in me walking around like a penguin for a month after tearing a calf muscle!!!!  I am hoping for an improvement on that performance this time round!

I have decided to run for the National Blind Children's Society that help children like 5 year old twins Scarlett & Elisa Humphrey (kids of good friends of mine) that are partially sighted.

Every pound you donote will be matched by both EnterCard & Barclaycard pound for pound, so there aren't many better ways of giving money to charity.  A donation of £20 turns to £60 - how cool is that!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.

So please dig deep and donate now.  Thanks, it really means a lot to me.

Payal xx
