Sadly, earlier this year, our beloved Brian died.  In his last few days, he was so very well cared for by all the staff at the Marie Curie hospice in Edinburgh, that as a family we wanted to do something to show our appreciation for everything they did, and so we have committed to raise the charity funding needed to Pay for a Day. It is a big ask, but we would love to have all our funds raised in time to mark Brian and Diane's 1st wedding anniversary on 2 December 2017.

The Marie Curie hospice at Fairmilehead is a very calm, positive and special place, staffed by incredible, caring, supportive and professional people.  Every day is really precious when someone is terminally ill, so we want to pay for a day of the hospice's running costs in Brian's memory so that other people who may need it can experience the same exceptional care, advice, kindness and support that we all did - not just Brian, but his family and friends too.

So, the fundraising begins!  Diane, Brian's wife has already signed up for the Edinburgh Kiltwalk's Mighty Stride (26 miles), and there will be lots of running action too with Matt and Alannah planning a marathon and half marathon respectively - we would be really grateful if you would consider sponsoring our efforts.  The Langley family will also be organising a number of "offline" fundraising social events that we will be sure to tell you all about separately - there will be drinks and cakes involved, for sure!
