Story
On the evening of Monday 14th August, I shaved all the hair on my face and head to begin a school year long experiment on the first day of school (Tuesday 15th August). The reason for this experiment is to see which hair grows faster and/or longer: the scalp or the face?
The experiment will last the entire school year (August 2017 through May 2018), with a final measurement on May 14th and then a possible shaving event at the senior picnic later that week.
In addition to the year long experiment, I have chosen to link up with the non-profit fundraising project “Pick Collectors Against Cancer” to raise money for children’s cancer research. This project was started by my good friend Lee Hutchinson in the UK in 2015 and has gone on to raise over $55,000 for various charities around the world. I will be working with Lee to raise even more cash right up to the mid-May finish line. One idea is to create and sell a commemorative guitar pick that will show “Before and After” photos of me on each side of the pick.
All money raised through this page and the guitar pick sale will be donated to St. Baldrick's Childhood Cancer Research Foundation.
Many thanks in advance for taking the time to support me, PCAC, St, Baldrick’s, Science, and my hair! ;-D
