We believe that all pets should have access to veterinary care – regardless of their owners’ financial situation. Over 100 years, we’ve helped more than 20 million sick and injured pets – providing life-saving vet care to more vulnerable pets than any other animal charity in the UK today.

Story

PDSA's Birmingham pet hospital treated over 13,000 pets last year. In many cases if the hospital was not there then those pets would have had no where else to go.

The existing premises in Quinton is struggling to keep up with demand as the number of pet patients has increased by 50% in the last five years and we expect this demand to continue growing. That is why PDSA need to raise £2m to build a new pet hospital.

As the PDSA running team for the Birmingham 1/2 marathon we have tasked ourselves to raise £17,500 for the Birmingham pet hospital. If we could raise this aspirational target then we'd be able to pay for the running costs for one week. This would enable us to treat over 1,000 animals and every chance save many pet's lives.
