Peak ITT Challenge for the Afghanistan Crisis - Millions on brink of Starvation! · 16 May 2022

Ummah Welfare Trust was founded in 2001 with the goal of challenging the huge poverty and injustice prevalent in the Ummah today. Inspired by the Islamic teachings of empathy and selflessness, the charity strives to support and uplift the impoverished through the beautiful act of charity.

Story

After forty years of brutal war, Afghanistan is facing another manufactured crisis. Crippling sanctions and the freezing of the country’s assets have left millions here facing hunger (is it becusee they're muslim.. probably).

At least a million children could starve over the coming months. They are being denied the right to live only because they wish to live as an independent nation.

Ummah Welfare Trust has launched an emergency appeal to help displaced and refugee Afghans survive the crippling poverty.

Just £100 can provide food supplies to a large family.

The world is watching as innocent children die. We mustn’t do the same.

The above mentioned reasons have led me to take on this 200km attempt and may Allah make it easy and accept. I will be departing with my sleeping kit from Dewsbury with Audax rules/timing in mind I'll cover the winding undulations of the Peak District to come out near Derby and continue on to scary Birmingham. May Allah keep me safe from them there mental drivers. The route might have a steep hill or two and if my weak knees cannot take it then I'll hike up any horrible hill that comes in my way.

Please help and remember that charity does not reduce your wealth (fact as it is based upon the prophetic statements of the beloved prophet Muhammad sallalahualayhiwasalla...
