INTERNATIONAL YOGA TEACHER & ACTRESS

CYCLE 7 COUNTRIES IN 4 MONTHS

4,000 miles from Kenya to Cape Town, giving back along the way.

Emma Bonnici and Lysianne Thomas from the UK have set out to create an incredible movement. Emma Bonnici, founder of Kanga Yoga, is an international yoga teacher leading events and trainings around the world.  Lysianne Thomas, a performer, community co-ordinator and fitness enthusiast based in the UK.  Together these two woman, on two bikes, make an unstoppable team.

Lysianne & Emma's trip is fully funded. All donations go directly to Solar Aid and the Partnering Charity Projects.

They depart this March 2017, starting from The Lamu Yoga Festival. Passing through Kenya, Tanzania, Malawi, Botswana, Zambia, Namibia, South Africa. They will inspire, empower, uplift and unite.

Promoting clean and renewable energy is important focus throughout their journey, however these amazing woman are simply keen to create positive change in as many ways they possibly can.

As such, in addition to Solar Aid (Zambia) they've committed to supporting numerous charities dotted along their root including: Faraja Cancer Support (Kenya), Tanzania Animal Welfare (Tanzania), Love Support Unite (Malawi), Mayamiko (Malawi), Travel Impact (Botswana), Ben Empowerment  network (Namibia and South Africa) & No Danger Diaries (South Africa).

INSPIRE EMPOWER UPLIFT UNITE

They will swap skills, and raise funds to distribute solar aid lantern kits to schools, hospitals, care homes and any other educational or health institution they discover in their tracks. They will connect directly with locals through the sharing of skills, encouraging sustainable change across communities.

WHAT EMMA AND LYSIANNE ARE DOING REALLY MATTERS.               598 million people in Africa have no access to electric, leading them to turn to hazardous temporary light sources when desperate such as kerosene lamps.

Just one solar kit at £6 provides 1006 extra hours of school study time, and reduces 1.1 co2 tons every year"

Just one solar light kit at £6 provides 1006 extra hours school study time, saves £145 electricity and reduces 1.1 co2 ton for the environment year on year. That's less than a medium Starbucks with a sandwich or slice of cake!

Not only will Emma and Lysianne be creating a positive uplift in several communities, but they will be contributing to protecting Mother Earth too.
