Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

During May 2012 7 staff from the East of England Ambulance Service, North Essex locality,  raised funds for The Ambulance Services Benevolent Fund (ASBF) by cycling from Lands End to John O'Groats..

In May 2013 we did another ride called Tower to Tower (T2T). We rode from Blackpool Tower to Eiffel Tower, 600 miles in 6 days. Once again funds raised were for the ASBF, this ride enabled us to take our fundraising to over £20000 thanks to our generous supporters.

It now seems to have become an annual event and another ride is planned for May 2014 called GB10. During this ride we are hoping to cover 999 miles in 9 days touring around Great Britain and visiting as many regional ambulance services as we can along the way to promote ASBF.

We are grateful for the support from the  East of England Ambulance Service Trust and other companies, organisations, charities and individuals to enable these events to happen.

The ASBF help serving and retired NHS ambulance personnel, and their dependants, in times of exceptional hardship, poverty or need. The ASBF provides grants and other support for individuals reqiuring specialised equipment and home adaptations for medical needs. It also provides aid for those experiencing extreme financial hardship.
