Peel Media takes on the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge!
A team from Peel Media including staff, family and friends, is taking on the challenge of three Yorkshire peaks in just 12 hours, all in aid of the Manchester homeless charity, Barnabus.
Our aim is to raise at least £5,000 on May 4th when we climb the peaks of Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough. They all form part of the Pennine range in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. It’s 24.5 miles of tough terrain and includes an ascent of 5,200ft.
Your support in helping us achieve our ambitious target would be a fantastic incentive for the team and help the homeless at the same time!
About Barnabus
Barnabus is a frontline Manchester Christian Homeless Charity providing a lifeline to rough sleepers and people with lived experience of homelessness for over 25 years.
Barnabus provide practical help and support including food, clothing, showers and healthcare. They also offer a wide range of volunteering and mentoring opportunities to help increase confidence and skills.
A £5 donation ensures a rough sleeper or homeless person can access a warm welcome at the Barnabus drop in centre which includes breakfast, an opportunity for a shower, clean clothes, toiletries and a warm safe space away from the streets. It’s also a chance to feel human after a cold, wet night on the street, it’s a chance to connect with our caring team and find hope, encouragement and a sense of belonging. It’s also a vital first step in building trust and opening the door for greater support.
A £5,000 donation would support 1,000 visits to the drop-in
centre
Every little bit helps, thank you for your kind donation,
