Pembroke Charity Ergathon · 23 December 2019

Pembroke has a long history of welcoming people in danger of persecution to the College and continues to raise funds for the Campaign for At Risk Academics (CARA). Pembroke College has received four CARA academics as visiting scholars in recent years. Please give generously.

Story

The third annual Pembroke Ergathon is here! On the 2nd of February, we will be competing against the clock to cover as much distance as possible over 12hrs.

We will have four ergs running at once and everyone (student/staff/alumni) is welcome to take part! If you don't feel like rowing, come along to Nihon to show your support.

Once again we are raising money for the Jo Cox Studentship, set up in memory of Jo Cox (an alumnus of the college and boat club). You can read more about the timely work of this great cause here:  https://www.pem.cam.ac.uk/alumni-development/news/jo-cox-studentship-awarded.

You can follow the distance covered here: https://ergathon.appspot.com/

UPDATE: if you want to motivate the rowers with a song (or inflict it upon them) post it in the message with a donation of any size and we will que it up. If you have a specific rower/crew in mind put that in the message too!
