Pembroke-to-Pembroke Ergathon · 21 January 2017 ·

Pembroke has a long history of welcoming people in danger of persecution to the College and continues to raise funds for the Campaign for At Risk Academics (CARA). Pembroke College has received four CARA academics as visiting scholars in recent years. Please give generously.

Story

On the first Saturday of Lent Term, PCBC Cambridge and PCBC Oxford will be joining forces in the first ever Pembroke to Pembroke Ergathon!

Our boat clubs will be racing each other in a 120km indoor charity rowing relay race, covering the distance between our two boat clubs.

PCBC Cambridge will be raising money for the Jo Cox Studentship, whilst PCBC Oxford for the Oxford Rape Crisis Centre.

We will have 4 ergs going at once, and anyone (current and former boaties/fellows/staff etc) is welcome to take part!

Every 10km there will also be 'wild card' challenges that have to be completed before continuing.

We will also be having a bake sale, so whether or not you're planning on taking part, please feel free to come along and cheer people on over cake - all in aid of a good cause!

Join us in the Nihon room, or on our livestream, and please donate to this worthy cause.
