Story
Our Charity Challenge, in support of the charity ‘Hope for Tomorrow’.
We have set ourselves a brand new challenge to raise enough money to build and run a Mobile Chemotherapy Unit. To do this, we need to raise £260,000.
In 2007 the Charity launched the world’s first Mobile Chemotherapy Unit in a unique partnership with the NHS. Owned and maintained by the Charity, and operated by highly trained NHS staff, these well-equipped Units allow cancer patients to receive treatment in a restful environment closer to home, saving stressful long distance travel and minimising waiting times.
Currently seven Mobile Chemotherapy Units, and ten Nurses Support Vehicles are operating in total, giving treatments throughout Gloucestershire, Somerset, Wiltshire, Hampshire, East Kent, Berkshire and Lincolnshire, and it is the dream of Founder and Trustee Christine Mills MBE to have a Unit operating in every county.
We would like for every team member to help us with our fundraising efforts
and most importantly, to have some fun!
