Urgent Care Response Team are climbing Mount Snowden 😁😁😁
UPDATE....... Unfortunately due to severe weather warnings we could not climb the mountain on 15/07/2023... therefore we have re arranged the date. We are now climbing on 07/10/2023. Thank you for all donations so far we appreciate all the support. Xx
My brother Ley Garforth sadly took his own life in June 2022 he was 49 after suffering with an acute episode of mental health.
Since this happened I have spoken with family and friends about doing something for Ley in his memory. On new years day I decided I wanted to climb Mount Snowden whilst at work with the amazing team I work with UCRT (Urgent Care Response Team) in Oldham. I set up a whatsapp group to get some interest and I was overwhelmed with how many people wanted to join me in doing this . The New Year new me being a timely factor I think got everyone wanting to get fitter and all for a good cause.
We decided we would do it as a fundraising event for Andys Mans Club which is an amazing charity to support men with there slogan being "itsgoodtotalk". and this charity is in our own community.
Any contributions will be greatly appreciated.
