I decided to run the Birmingham full marathon to raise money for Birmingham children's hospital charity. This is my first ever marathon so it is quite a challenge for me. I chose this charity because I know a family where two very young children were both helped by the Children's hospital. They had a rare condition and the only form of treatment was to have bone marrow transplants. They both went through major operations, chemotherapy. They spent months in isolation. Now they are both leading normal lives.
