Peta and Darryl walk from RD&E Exeter to Dawlish

Peta’s and Darryl’s walk from RD&E Exeter to Dawlish · 29 May 2021
Darryl had a very bad car accident back in May 2002. He hit a 42 ton lorry head on, broke every bone on his skull and suffered severe brain damage, with lifelong consequences. Darryl was airlifted to RD&E hospital in Exeter and he only survived due to the extreme fast response from Devon Air Ambulance. He only had 20% chances of survival , he died twice that day whilst being operated. He was in the hospital for 8 weeks and had several major operations. He had to relearn to do everything, recovery was slow and painful but, Darryl is now a fully recovered man. He would’ve died that day, if it wasn’t for Devon Air Ambulance. So we want to say thank you and our way to do it is doing this walk to try to raise as much money as we can to help Devon Air Ambulance to save more lives like they saved Darryl’s.
