Swiss Peaks Trail 90km · 8 September 2018

In low- and middle-income countries fewer than 1 in 10 children with cancer are diagnosed, treated or given pain relief. World Child Cancer improves cancer care for some of the world’s poorest children by creating international twinning partnerships between medics hospitals and parent support groups

Story

On Saturday 8th September 2018 I will be participating in the formidable Swiss Peaks race to help raise money for World Child Cancer. This challenge will see me running 90km, non-stop through the Swiss Alps and climbing over 18,400 feet, the equivalent of scaling two thirds of Mount Everest.

World Child Cancer works to help children with cancer in developing countries – in the UK over 80% of children now survive cancer – in developing countries that can be as low as 10% - but it does not need to be like that. World Child Cancer aims to improve diagnosis, treatment and support for children with cancer, and their families, in the developing world.
