Here's what I'm doing and why.

A couple of months ago some great friends of ours were given the devastating news that their beautiful, kind, sassy, cheeky and loving daughter, Issy was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia. 

She's just turned 12.

I personally can't imagine the pain and heartache the whole family are going through, but it's a journey they are taking together and they are strong. Especially Issy, who is responding well to her treatment.

Thankfully there are some amazing charities that offer incredible support to lovely people like Issy - but they can only do this with our help. 

So, to do my little bit, I'm going to run the Barns Green half marathon on 29th September to raise as much money as I can for CLIC Sargent, an unbelievable charity who are supporting Issy and her family throughout.

I've never really been a runner and I've never run this far before but I'm aiming to cover the full 13.1 miles without walking or stopping. All I ask is for you to donate a little something for them to continue their work.

Issy, this one's for you.
