Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my Fund Raising page.

Over the last 3 years MND has proven to be a devastating disease that incapacitates people, and ruins lives. Currently there is no known cure, and the devastating effects are widely known.

There are 3 of us taking part in this challenge who are all current or ex-Rugby League players who have been touched by the impact on Rob Burrow and community player Shane Whittaker - who are both battling heroically.

MND is proving to be particularly common in sports people, with other well-known faces such as Doddie Weir and Stephen Darby all currently fighting the disease.

Personally and connected to my family, Jen Smith sadly lost her battle with MND some years ago - and she is sorely missed daily by those who were closest to her.

Please dig deep, this is such a worthy cause that really benefits from every pound (euro, dollar... wherever you are) that is donated. I will also personally owe anyone that donates one beer - as I likely re-tell you how much I actually hate running and how rugby players, especially short ones, are not made to run very far...

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.
