Story

On the 14th November 2019 at 5:27am Dee and I welcomed Eliza Faith into the world via emergency c-section due to complications with Dee's pregnancy. Eliza was born at 26+2, 14 weeks or 96 days early weighing 1lb14oz, 850 grams!

She was critical and over the first few weeks of her life she stopped breathing twice, collapsed both lungs, received 4 blood transfusions and entered the early stages of Chronic Lung Disease.  On Xmas day she was downgraded from Intensive Care to High Dependency and over the next few weeks she made rapid progress and came home on oxygen on 22nd January 2020, 4 full weeks before her due date.

I often thought about how I could say thank you to the staff that saved Eliza's life on  numerous occasions, quite simply, I can't! There are no words that would suffice, they are heroes us and we will be eternally grateful!

Any money raised will go to the unit to either purchase equipment or enhance the ward away from the bedside to provide support to the families that suffer too.  As I receive more information from the staff I will update this page.
