I understand the life altering effects of losing someone to suicide having lost my mother, Grace, when I was a baby in 1971.
On a long journey to understanding the complex grief left behind I have been fortunate to meet some of the people involved in setting up James' Place.
I would love to raise a few quid in tribute to their inspiration, effort and care.
This is a warm nod to my father, Sid, who passed away in early 2019 and whose family hailed from the Liverpool area. I was thankful to have been able to speak with him for the first time about Grace shortly before he died.
I also offer my support and hope to anyone facing suicidal thoughts and know that the service that James' Place provides can help you find an alternative route to a better place in life.
Keep going! One step forward, slowly, gently.
