Story
Firstly, thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
Well, in the boredom of being sat around the table in a pub on another rain soaked eve, we decided to take on the challenge again of riding our bikes from Bradford to Hamm in Germany and back in 8 days in June 2014 to help provide funding for disabled children in sport !
We did this two years ago and although we did manage it on again a rain soaked trip it was hard !...not least on the "under carriage" but our bodies and bikes were somewhat "knackered" at the finish.
We have started training for this grelling event...( well we will do when it stops raining ! ) getting up at 4.00am each weekday morning to get the best of the sunrises and some early morning miles in our legs and out on a Saturday and Sunday to get the longer miles in.
Last tim I managed to lose almost 2 stone (which is not a bad thing) and whilst I've kept most of that off the aim is to do the same this year, Paul managed to nurture a hernia and rode that last couple of days with a bad bout of man-flu, we knew it was bad because he would never go to the front of the group, Dave got lost a couple of times (hard to believe I know) but he kept his usual smile all the way and this year, we have a new team member in James Sutcliffe, we thought it best to draft in some younger talent to ride on the front and drag us 50+yrs men along the journey..." Good do ! "
We will be updating our page with progress on training and any happenings we think you'd like to hear along with some pictures each week, so keep popping back to donate.... I mean for a catch up and no doubt giggle on how we do !
Please help us make a difference, it's for a local charity.... and donate on our page !
Many thanks from Paul, Dave, James and myself !
