Taste helps communities in Nigeria to help themselves. It has provided professional expertise and/or resources to develop water and sanitation projects but it will also consider other infra-structure help, such as helping with primary schooling or basic health care.

Story

We all take things like water and toilet facilities for granted, but not everyone is as blessed as we are.  Imagine being at a school where there may not be enough water for everyone all the time, and the risk of disease from inadequate toilet facilities is high.  I am hoping to raise money to help TASTE meet the needs of one such school.

TASTE is a small charity who support locals in Nigeria to get clean water supplies and sanitation to their communities.

Some of them have had to walk a few miles per day to collect their water, and the support of TASTE enables them to have clean water right on their doorsteps.

I am running the 26.2 miles of the Milton Keynes marathon on Monday May 1st to raise much needed sponsorship to support a new TASTE project.

The Equal Rights Secondary School in Plateau State is a school for the whole community (for both boys and girls, Christian and Muslim), who need a reliable year-round clean water supply and clean, hygienic toilet facilities.  TASTE is funding a project to bring this to them.  My aim is to raise £750 to go towards the cost of latrines for the school (look at the photos to see what they will be like).  One block of twin latrines costs about £750.  It would be great if we could raise this money together for this school.
