Game 2 Cure is a way for gamers and game enthusiasts to unite against childhood cancer by taking on the ultimate challenge of continuously gaming for 12-hours.

Story

I'm Gaming 2 Cure by taking on the challenge of gaming continuously for 24 hours for Children with Cancer UK along with my friends Allan, James and Sam. The Gaming 2 Cure challenge is usually for 12 hours to represent 12 children and young people who are diagnosed with cancer every day in the UK, but we wanted to push ourselves to raise as much as possible!

The reason why we wanted to raise money for Children with Cancer UK is that my friends 2 year old daughter, Peaches, was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia which presented itself in a very rare way in the form of a tumour in her head. She is currently in the care of Manchester Royal Infirmary where she is undergoing chemotherapy, blood and platelet transfusions. After talking with her parents this seemed to be an amazing charity to support.

By taking part in this challenge, I am helping more children ring their End of Treatment bell. At Children with Cancer UK we actively raise and invest money for vital specialist research to save the lives of every child with cancer and keep their family together.
