Having lost my wonderful mum to cancer a few months ago, and seeing the ongoing devastation this horrible disease causes to so many people of any age, I would like to do my bit to getting closer to a cure. We have all become all too familiar with our own mortality recently, but lets not forget a disease that takes around 166,000 lives each year, or around 450 per day (every day, every year!), in the UK alone.
