I chose to take part in this event and to fundraise for this charity due to the impact Crohn's Disease has had on my wife for the past 4 years since diagnosis. Any advances in treatment would be of tremendous help for an illness that is often debilitating. Leanne currently undergoes regularly infusions at hospital, struggles to walk for long, and is on a very restrictive diet. Medical professionals have been wonderful and this event is an opportunity for me to give a little back.
