Story
We've done the training. We've studied the maps. Caroline and Oliver have bought new boots. Peter has new shorts. Shane has purchased special underwear. Now we are ready to take on the giant, which goes by name of Trailwalker.
On the 23rd and 24th July, Blum's Chums will walk 60 miles over the South Downs, completing this awesome task in under 30 hours.
To do so, we will walk through the day, we'll walk right through the night and we will probably be walking a fair bit the next day.
Any sleep? Certainly not.
Will we even stop? Yes, but only briefly at checkpoints along the route where our support crew will feed us and bandage our feet.
Are we crazy? Probably. But then again, we are doing it for great causes. We are raising money for Oxfam and The Gurkha Welfare Trust .
Oxfam is a global movement of millions of people who share the belief that, in a world rich in resources, poverty isn't inevitable
The Gurkha Welfare Trust is the leading Gurkha charity, providing assistance to Gurkha veterans, their families and communities.
If you would like to, please do sponsor us. Oh, and if you can as well, spare us a quick thought sometime late on Saturday night or even early Sunday morning, as we trudge over the South Downs.
