Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am currently undertaking 18 months of fundraising for Friends of the Cancer Centre which will culminate in a Whitewater Rafting experience in Africa.  I have already undertaken all sorts of things in the past and this is a new challenge which is not going to be easy for me and it will definitely include scary moments along the way but I know I will enjoy the experience. Many of you may know that I have my left leg amputated therefore this challenge will be a made harder as I won't be able to use my artificial limb. I also will have to wear goggles as I have lost my right eye and currently have a painted artificial eye as well however these things only make me more determined to succeed in the challenge. The Zambezi Challenge will comprise of 8 days in Africa with 4 days of whitewater rafting in one of the biggest and best whitewater river's (Zambezi) in the world. During the next 18 months I will also be running many events including street collections, quizzes, discos, five a side football tournaments, fireside quizzes, night at the races etc.  I'm also abseiling down Belfast City Hospital's Tower Block (190 foot high) in April & heading to Germany to paraglide over the Alps hopefully next summer. I would really appreciate all the support I can get in my challenge ahead and I can assure you the work of Friends of the Cancer Centre is tremendous and it is very close to my heart as someone who has had a cancer diagnosis on 3 occasions.

Many thanks once again for all your support.
