Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

The plan is to sail north from Caithness to Faeroes and then on to Iceland.  After a crew change, we will head to Jan Mayen at 71deg North.  There we will land and climb Beerenberg 2277m, an active glaciated volcano.  This will involve a continuous 45km walk as we are not allowed to camp at all on the island as it is a Nature Reserve.

I shall also to do my first Arctic dive and we hope to find the lava tubes on the southern flanks of the volcano.

When we return, we will go round the west of Iceland through the Denmark Strait and attempt a landing on Rockall.
