I've been raising money for Multiple Sclerosis for over 15 years now, and I've learnt a lot about the incredible challenges faced by those with this debilitating disease. I am increasingly convinced of how important it is to make a contribution to funding vital research and providing support for those with this still incurable disease.
In 2013 I set a target to raise £60,000 for MS since it was 60 years since the founding of the national MS Society in 1953. I was privileged to know Elisabeth Costley-White, OBE, who was involved in the formative years of the founding of the Society and who also started the Mendip branch. We've raised over £20,000 already, so let's keep going!
As chairman of the Mendip branch of the MS Society I've been fortunate to meet and know so many hard-working volunteers and long-suffering people with MS. I know by fundraising we can make a difference to those whose lives and families are touched by MS.
Thanks for donating and helping me reach my personal target, and especially for your interest in making a difference.
