Galliford Try 2015 Land's End to John O'Groats Cycle Relay · 11 June 2015

We‘re the world‘s leading cancer charity dedicated to saving and improving lives through research. We fund research into the prevention, detection and treatment of more than 200 types of cancer through the work of over 4,000 scientists, doctors and nurses.

Story

100 staff from the Galliford Try Group are taking part in a cycle relay from Land's End to John O'Groats from 11th to 14th of June. The total distance is 981 miles and this will be split into 14 stages,  with each stage being cycled by a team of at least 6. The relay should take 3.5 days to complete, cycing non stop, even throughout the night!

I am taking part in the third stage, cycling from Moretonhampstead in Dartmoor to Street in Somerset, expecting to receive the batton at around 4pm on Thursday 11 June and to gratefully hand it on at around 10pm later that evening.

The team are all well into their training programs, gradually increasing the distance and speed of each training session.

The target for the whole relay team is to raise £50,000 for Cancer Research UK, which breaks down to £500 for each cyclist, so please support the team to raise this significant sum of money.
