Story
My mother in law Ursula de Jesus spent her final weeks at Myton receiving very professional care. Her dogs were allowed to visit her and she was made to feel at home. Her grandchildren could visit her and we were made very welcome and treated the place like a home away from home.
My personal goal this year is to raise £1000 for Myton Hospice and complete in at least 5 cycle events, including a 60mile Myton Hospice Cycle challenge and a 140mile Coast to Coast challenge. A number of colleagues, friends and family are joining me for various cycling events.
At Myton Hospices we believe that everyone matters for every single moment of their life and that treating patients with dignity and respect is more important than meeting targets. We passionately believe that the final part of someone’s life is as important as the beginning. We also know that making someone feel better is not just about medicine – sometimes holding someone’s hand.In the last 12 months, we have worked with and supported over 2,300 patients and their families across Coventry and Warwickshire.
