We work to prevent breast cancer to stop women, and men, being diagnosed.

Story

On the 21st August 2023 I did a 24 hour non-stop golf challenge at Nairn Golf Club near Inverness in Scotland. I started at 6pm on this day and completed 248 holes in this period before finishing at 6pm the following day. Part of this challenge consisted me playing around 7 and a half hours in the dark with the aid of head torches, an led spot light and glow in the dark golf balls. Everyone related to this wonderful cause have been so helpful over the past 24 months with my mum getting this form of cancer back in June 2021. After surgery and treatment my mum is now clear thankfully and has recently been for her second year mammogram which we are awaiting the results on. I raised over £8000 last year on on my epic Scottish Challenge and wanted to do something again for this amazing charity. Breast Cancer is the most common cancer in the UK. Over 55,000 women and 390 men a year are diagnosed with breast cancer. Yet a quarter of these cases are preventable. Breast Cancer UK is working to prevent breast cancer through education, scientific research, collaboration and policy change.   Breast Cancer UK provides practical advice and tips on how we can reduce our risk. They campaign for changes to national health policies to support prevention, and fund research to help improve our understanding of how to stop the disease.

I just want to say huge thank you to everyone at Nairn Golf Club. You've all been amazing,  and can't thank you enough!
