I have decided that after running for Brighterway in the past that I would join a group of like minded people from Southern health in running for the Trust charity one last time.

I have recently finished a 2 year spell with Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust in the Mental Health Division, and worked alongside staff who provide fantastic services to people with mental health issues, some of whom are in real crisis.

Mental illness will affect 1 in 4 of us over time and we don't know who or when it will affect.  Brighterway is the hospital charity for Southern Health and they operate to provide things for patients in order that they can have a brighter life, no matter what they are going through.

Please support my fundraising effort as I spend time training and running. I am not a natural runner and find it really hard to get motivated to go out there at times. Knowing that my efforts will raise funds that go some way to helping others is a real motivation for me.
