Peter Milner's Tour de France for Macmillan Cancer Support

Peter's Tour de France · 12 June 2009
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
If you dont already know, I'm planning to cycle the full route of the 1970 Tour de France, the year of my birth, during May 2010 to mark my 40th birthday.
The trip is 4,300km and I plan to complete it in 24 days. For more details and updates on my progress during The Tour please visit my web-page, www.milner.madasafish.com
I am trying to raise money for both Macmillan Cancer Support and Re~Cycle. Donations on this page will go to Macmillan. Please visit my Re-Cycle page and consider making a donation there as well. www.justgiving.com/peter-milner-recycle
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Macmillan Cancer Support gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor me now! Any amount is most greatly appreciated.
!!! UPDATE 7th JUNE 2010 !!!
It's done. I finished my ride in Paris on Friday 28th May. Everything just about went to plan and I stuck to the schedule. Actual distance cycled 4100km or 2550miles and over 25,000m total height gain. A little less than planned but a trip to the hospital in the first week, an intentional short cut in the Alps and a few navigational errors lost a few miles. The photos I took during the trip can be reviewed on this link www.panoramio.com/user/4403438
A huge thank you to everyone who has donated online and to everyone who has pledged or given cash.
Also thanks to Freedom Group and Simpsons York who have donated directly.
Many thanks to the coporate sponsors who are assisting with expenses particularly:
