I've been aware of the FFC charity for some time with many friends joining teams in aid of Friends Fighting Cancer.

Living up to my nickname of Keeno, I've signed up to play for Team Osgood; named in memory of Paul Osgood who sadly lost his battle with the disease in 2018.

To boost our fundraising efforts I've teamed up with fellow AFC Portchester Veteran, Captain Keith Ashton, who is also popping his FFC cherry this year as part of Team Figgins, to combine our twin loves: giving to good causes and monotonous physical exertion. 

"Beefy" and I will be attempting to run/walk or crawl as many miles we can within 12 hours around Portchester Recreation Ground and the adjoining golf course on Saturday 26th June, finishing at the Crest Finance Stadium where the bar will be open to toast our successful completion of the challenge.

Having both run around 200 miles in 30 days back in March for our previous charity challenge, it's clear that we're both in the grips of a fairly serious midlife crisis and desperately need validation. 

However it's equally true that the FFC cause is a brilliant one and benefits many people locally who are in a terrible situation, so anything you can do to help would be appreciated - either by donating some cash or by coming along on the 26th June to support us.
