A space of listening, witnessing and support over months and years to help clients find a life that has meaning as well as surviving specific symptoms of PTSD.

Story

The provision is of psychotherapy and counselling to highly traumatised refugees and asylum seekers is in great demand and under-resourced. TFSW provides a space of listening, witnessing and support over months and years to help their traumatised clients find a life that has meaning as well as surviving specific symptoms of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) such as bodily pain, flashbacks, nightmares and sleeplessness. It also provide an art therapy group with a trained art therapist and supervision to many refugee charities.

I will master of ceremonies at their major fundraising event on October 13th in Bristol and will end the event by reciting from heart Prospero's Epilogue from Shakespeare's Tempest, a poem ending many years of his Exile.

Every pound makes a big difference to sustaining this important work, as they need to raise £65,000 a year, so I am seeing if I can raise £5,000 towards that. The epilogue has 22 lines - so if you are unwaged £1 a line will be £22 for the Charity, if you have a reasonable salary £10 a line would be £220 and if you are highly paid £20 a line would be £440.

Renewal Associates has agreed to match every donation I receive thus you do doubling the impact of everything you give.
