As the current Master and Mistress of the Merchant Taylors' Company we have chosen "For Jimmy" as the charity for our year. The Mizens are an outstanding family devoted to helping improve the lives of young people in London. This year is the 10th anniversary of Jimmy's death in an unprovoked attack just the day after his 16th birthday.

For Jimmy's proposition: 

"We have the power to build the types of communities we all want to live in. Do we need more and more legislation or do we need to ask ourselves about the kind of society we want to live in? Change has to come from each of us. We work with young people, schools, businesses and communities to create the safest spaces for young people to grow up in, driving change across three levels: inspiring individual responsibility; connecting communities and building safe places to turn to."
