London to Paris 4 children in need 25000spins.com · 21 July 2010
After an evening with a chum I was somehow coaxed into this challenge. I am cycling from to to raise £1,200 for children in need with 25000spins. So any small donation would be much appreciated to help me reach my target.
For a moment there I thought I would not be able to do this cycle ride. After setting out on a training ride I had collision with a fly. It came off better than I did, as I came away with two fractured arms. So for a few weeks there I was unable to train. I have not been deterred though and I am now back in training.
I am cycling for a charity called ADRA. They help improve childrens lives here at home aswell as all over the world. Around 25,000 children die each year, often from preventable causes such as diarrhea, pneuomia, measles and malaria. All things that really cost pennies to treat and prevent. ADRA provides shelter, food, clean water and education among other things to improve the lives of children and their survival. Please look at their website to find out more about what they do at www.adra.org.
We have already started fundraising with our first cake sale but we need all the help we can get to reach out target.
