Far too many of us have felt the pain of losing someone we love. With your donations, we power groundbreaking cardiovascular research to save and improve lives, bring hope to families, and keep hearts beating across the UK.

Story

Hi everyone, thanks for visiting my page. On 28th April 2019 I ran the London Marathon in aid of the British Heart Foundation and I'd be so grateful for your support. I managed to complete the race in a time of 4 hours 41 minutes (which I was really happy with)!!

Everyone knows someone who has had some kind of heart issue or even died from a heart related illness. It's for this reason we need to continue to support this amazing organisation and all the work and research it does.

Over the past 3 years, the specialist heart care units at both the Sheffield Northern General and St Bart's Hospital in Central London, have helped save the lives of both my Dad and my cousin Paul following open heart surgery.

The BHF has helped halve the number of people dying from heart and circulatory disease in the UK but sadly every day hundreds of people lose their lives. It's only thanks to support from people like us that the BHF can create new treatments and discover new cures. £24 could pay for two hours of research by an early career scientist, but every pound helps so please give what you can to help me hit my target.

I really appreciate your support and donations, no matter how big or small.

Thanks very much, Phil
